Cover Crop Research at the WSU Vancouver Research and Extension Center
In May 2000, WSU Extension received a grant from the Organic Farming Research Foundation to study the efficacy of different cover crop species on weed control in organic farming systems. Study objectives include determining the effects of over-seeded cover crops on summer vegetable cash crop and on weed populations. The research trial is being conducted at the WSU Vancouver research station where organic plots appropriate for future organic research studies are being established.
